Terms & Conditions – Visit Malindi

1. Introduction

Welcome to Visit Malindi (“we,” “our,” “us”). By making a booking or using our services on visitmalindi.ke, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.


2. Our Services

Visit Malindi provides tourism and hospitality services including accommodation bookings, tour packages, excursions, transfers, and related experiences in Malindi and the Kenyan Coast.


3. Payments

  • All bookings must be secured with full payment or a deposit as specified at the time of booking.

  • Payments can be made in Kenya Shillings (KES) or United States Dollars (USD) via credit/debit cards, mobile money, bank transfers, or through our authorized payment partner (DPO).

  • All prices quoted on our website are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.


4. Refund & Cancellation Policy

4.1 Cancellations by Customers

  • Accommodation Bookings

    • Cancellations made 7 days or more before check-in qualify for a 100% refund.

    • Cancellations made 3–6 days before check-in qualify for a 50% refund.

    • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before check-in or no-shows are non-refundable.

  • Tours & Activities

    • Cancellations made 72 hours or more before the scheduled activity qualify for a full refund.

    • Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the activity are non-refundable.

4.2 Refund Process

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days through the original payment method.

  • Payment processing charges by banks, DPO, or card providers are non-refundable.

4.3 Cancellations by Visit Malindi

  • If we cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., safety concerns, weather disruptions, or overbooking), you will receive a full refund of the amount paid.

  • We are not responsible for indirect costs such as flights, transport, or third-party services.


5. Changes to Bookings

  • Requests to reschedule bookings are subject to availability.

  • Additional charges may apply for changes made close to the service date.


6. Liability

  • Visit Malindi is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to property during tours or stays unless directly caused by our negligence.

  • Customers are responsible for their personal belongings and are encouraged to have valid travel insurance.


7. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya.
